Start of Year Activity
ROOM ONE'S PUZZLE
IN ROOM 1... WE FIT TOGETHER
WE ALL COME IN DIFFERENT SHAPES, SIZES, COLOURS ETC JUST LIKE A PUZZLE PIECE, BUT WE STILL NEED TO LEARN TO FIT TOGETHER TO BE ABLE TO WORK WITH EACH OTHER, LEARN FROM EACH OTHER AND ACCEPT PEOPLES' UNIQUE PERSONALITIES AND DIFFERENCES.
Remember Summer Writing
Room 1 have been working very hard on their pieces of writing over the last two weeks. They have tried a new approach to writing of using a model as a guide, analysing it to see what makes it a good piece of writing and then creating a criteria to work from.
Please enjoy reading our 'Remember Summer' writing and leave a comment, we love feedback!
Meg's Remember summer poem
Here is my remember summer poem, we used simillies, advectives, alliteration and antonyms. Our whole class worked 1 week on this story and went through the whole process of planning, writing , editing , publishing , and printing I thought all of my classmates did really good with their's!

The production
Gabby, Logan, Aj and I had to wear oompa loompa costumes. If you have watched the old movie of Charile and the chocolate factory, thats what our costumes looked like. You should of been there! Our dance was so funny. This is what we looked like...
Willy Wonka was Dylan Vesty, Charile was Cameron Shaw, Charlies mum was Hannah. Grandpa Joe was Blake Shaw, the granny was Nina. Linus was a narrator, Mike TV was JR, Augustus was Caleb, Veruca was Meg, Violet was Estelle. Molly was Caleb's mum, Trinity was Violet's mum and William was Meg's dad.
That was the best production ever. By Pyper Haare Black

Room 1's Bug Hotel
Today we made a bug hotel for the bugs in our garden to live in. We hope our bugs love living here amongst the leaves, bricks, rocks, branches and soil.
